Carlos Rubio Montenegro

Carlos Rubio Montenegro, 65, of Amarillo died Saturday, July 30, 2022. Mass of a Christian Burial is 10:00 am, Friday, August 5 at St. Laurence Catholic Church officiated by Fr. Haider Quintero. The burial is at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage. The family will receive guests Wednesday 6-8 pm for visitation. The rosary is 6:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home Carlos was born in Juarez, Mexico on September 17, 1956 to Ranulfo and Juana Montenegro. Carlos was always happy and had lots of friends. He was always willing to help even when he didnt have much, never asking for anything in return. Carlos was very family oriented and always took care of his mother. He was very caring and took care of others before himself. He cherished spending time with his nieces and nephews. He was always giving them rides on his wheelchair. Carlos was a very humble man. He loved his children. Music was his passion and his escape. Carlos was preceded in death by his father, Ranulfo Montenegro, one sister, Guadalupe Ibarra, and two brothers, Roberto and Arturo Montenegro. He is survived by his mother, Juana Montenegro, one son, Victor Montenegro and his wife Armida, one daughter, Veronica Montenegro, four sisters; Rosa Nunez, Gloria Ramirez, Maria Mendoza, and Magdalena Alvarez, and four brothers; Rosendo Montenegro, Ranulfo Montenegro Jr., Jose Montenegro, and Daniel Montenegro.
