Carmelita Maria Gay

Carmelita ""Trigger"" Gay 70 of Amarillo died Tuesday September 11, 2007 at Amarillo. No services are scheduled at this time. Cremation and arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, Osage Chapel, 2800 South Osage St., Amarillo TX. Carmelita married Claud Gay on January 8, 1955 in Tucson Arizona. They moved to Amarillo in 1957. She loved all animals and always took in and cared for homeless animals. She was a friend to all of them. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Claud in 2005. Survivors include: a daughter; Diane Davis and her husband David of Amarillo; a son, Stephen Gay and his wife Susanne of Highland Village; two sisters, Neda Guitteau of Pheonix AZ; and Mary Kirkpatrick of Iowa; a brother, James Crowninshield of Tucson AZ; three grandchildren; Craig Riley of Austin; Andrea Davis of Galveston and Jennifer Davis of Amarillo; and special friends Linda Diaz and Norma Dalton. Memorial donations may be made to any animal rights organization of your choice.
