Carolyn Marie Golden, 90, of Amarillo, Texas, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2025.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 9, 2026, in Rector Funeral Home Pioneer Chapel, 2800 S. Osage, with Stephen Tow officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home.
Carolyn was born on December 16, 1935, in Malone, New York, to Kenneth Rich and Yvonne Bissonete Rich. She graduated from Brighton-Moira High School. On August 24, 1957, she married Charles Golden in West Bangor, New York, beginning a loving marriage and family life that spanned many years.
Carolyn dedicated much of her career to Coffee Memorial Blood Center, where she worked for many years. She took great pride in her work, helping to save lives by calling donors and organizing blood drives throughout the community.
She enjoyed simple pleasures and cherished time spent with others. Carolyn loved playing card games such as Uno and Skip-Bo, watching classic movies on TCM, and playing bingo. In her younger years, she especially loved ice skating and dancing the jitterbug, activities that reflected her joyful and lively spirit.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth Rich and Yvonne Rich of Deep River, Connecticut; and her brother, Kenneth Rich.
Carolyn is survived by her three children, Lori Lee Harper of Austin, Texas, Jeffrey Lawrence Golden, and Darcie Yvonne Golden; three grandchildren, Amber Marie Dominguez and husband Richard Dominguez of Amarillo, Summer Louise Wheeler of Amarillo, and Sean Conalee Golden and wife Katrina of Amarillo; a brother, Larry Rich; a sister, Joanne French; and ten great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved dearly.
