Carolyn Ivins

Carolyn Ivins 79, of Amarillo died Monday, December 11, 2017 in Amarillo. Graveside services will be at 11:00 am Thursday, Dec. 14, 2017 at Llano East Cemetery with Terry Callis, chaplain, officiating.. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Mrs. Ivins was born on Nov. 29, 1938 in Amarillo. She graduated from Amarillo High School. On February 25, 1958, she married the love of her life, Heman "Judge" Ivins. She lived in Dallas from 1958 to 1999, when they returned to Amarillo. Carolyn was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She was a homemaker in every sense of the word. She cared for her family and friends before herself. Carolyn also served as a hospital volunteer in Irving for many years. She was always giving to others. She was a member of Beverly Hills Baptist Church in Dallas. She is survived by her husband; one son, Eddie Ivins of Amarillo; two sisters, Sandra Martindale of Amarillo and Sharon Martin of Tulsa; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
