Carolyn Sue Wood

Carolyn Sue Wood 63, of Canyon, died Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at her home. Services will be at 10:00 AM Monday at Kingswood United Methodist Church with Brad Reeves, pastor officiating. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Amarillo, Texas. Mrs. Wood was born in Amarillo. She graduated from Caprock High School. She worked at Grand Bowl for several years before being employed at AIG. After leaving AIG, Mrs. Wood worked for the Amarillo Independent School District in the food service department until her retirement in 2005. Mrs. Wood was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother. She loved traveling with her husband to Colorado where they spent time trout fishing and camping. She loved working in her yard, playing Mrs. PacMan and was an avid Texas Rangers fan. She also attended Kingswood United Methodist Church. She married David A. Wood on September 20, 1967 in Amarillo. She is survived by her husband David of the home; two sons, Davy Wood and his wife Alicia of Lawton, OK and Michael Wood of Amarillo; one sister, Dannye Kaye Drake of Belton; two granddaughters, Taylor Wood of Lawton and Ferann Wood of Amarillo.
