Carolynn Kaye Nivens, 65, of Amarillo left her earthly home to join her heavenly father on Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010. Carolynn was born March 1, 1945. She worked as a market research analyst for many years. Mom was an incredible artist and crafter. Her beautiful smile and contagious laugh would put everyone who came over in good spirits. On of her favorite pastimes was playing video games with her best friend, Matt; which they did every weekend. Her talents go from drawing to gardening and making her intricate and decorative eggs, which she loved to give to her family and friends. She was a natural when it came to animals and gardening. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much. Her love for life was full of passion and conviction. Aside from her talents, she had a never ending capacity to love all those who knew her as well as those who she just met. She was a wonderful mom, grandma, great-grandma and friend. She will be forever in our hearts. We love her and she will be missed dearly. She is survived by her son, James T. Smith and wife Nettie of Espanola, N.M., and their children, Ryan and Nicholette; a daughter, Jeanita Wineinger of Amarillo and her children Christopher, Christian and Chase; a daughter Julie Craven and husband Steven of Amarillo and their children, Allie, Emily, Hayley and Duster; a son, Jearmy Wineinger and wife Gracie of Anderson, Mo., and children, Amanda, Jaime Zachary, Caleb and Kayla Grace; a daughter, Jessica Moore and husband Clint of Amarillo and their children, Charity, Chad, Kayla, Clay and McKienzee; a daughter, Jenaya Stites and husband Jon of Amarillo and their children Haleigh, Cambree and Jacey Kaye; best friends, Matthew Jackson and Cliff Walter; and seven great-grandchildren. A memorial services will be held by her family on Thursday, Nov. 18, in St. Paul's United Methodist Church at 3 p.m. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St.
