Catherine Mchale White

Catherine McHale White passed away peacefully at home with her beloved family at her side. She was born in County Mayo, Ireland on November 5, 1924. She was the second of six children and the oldest daughter. She was preceded in death by her husband Billie Joe White, Sr. and her siblings. She is survived by her 4 children, Christopher, Billie, Cheryl, and Stephen, 6 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. She worked for AISD at Oakdale Elementary School for 29 years and was mother-hen to hundreds of children who still remember her giving them extra desserts. She liked to sew, knit, garden, cook, square dance and watch the judge shows on TV. She stayed strong, active and independent and danced with her son, Billie, on her 90th birthday. She will be fondly remembered and sorely missed. She will be laid to rest next to her husband on Monday, November 13, 2017 at the Memorial Park Cemetery at 2:00 pm.
