Kay Braddock 91, of Amarillo died Wednesday January 20, 2010 in Canyon. Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM Thursday at Memory Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Roman Asbill associate pastor of Freedom Fellowship of Canyon officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Cathern E. ""Kay"" Braddock was born on September 23, 1918 on a farm near Hood, to James Everett and Winifred Allegra (Trigg) Chanslor. She moved with her family to Borger in 1926, and graduated from Borger High School in 1935. She married Leo Braddock on December 24, 1938. They moved to Amarillo in 1952 and joined the First Baptist Church. Mrs. Braddock worked as a secretary for Amarillo Welding and Diamond Shamrock. She and Leo also owned and operated Leo's Grand Burger. They joined San Jacinto Baptist Church in 1986. Survivors include her son Jeff Braddock of Amarillo; 2 granddaughters, Kim Manning of Amarillo and Bethany Fry of Corpus Christi; a grandson, Kevin Hatton of Mansfield; 1 sister Sara Gressett of Snyder; 2 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations be to a favorite charity.
