Cecil Miller

Cecil Miller, 88 of Amarillo died Monday July 1, 2002 at Amarillo. Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday at Llano Cemetery with Lynn Garrett, pastor to senior adults officiating. Masonic Burial Rites will be by Palo Duro Masonic Lodge #1239 A.F. & A.M. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home 2800 S. Osage Street. Mr. Miller was born in Harvey, North Dakota. He was raised in Tracy, Calif. and had lived in Amarillo most of his life. He was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Mr. Miller was a member of Palo Duro Masonic Lodge #1239 and was active in the Amarillo and A.E. Shirley Chapters of the Order of the Eastern Star. He was also a member of the First Baptist Church and had a strong faith in God. Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his wife, Rita Holmes Miller in 1983 after 40 years of marriage. Survivors include: 2 daughters; Maxine Sanders of Houston and Charlene Ferguson of Amarillo, 2 sons; Kris Miller of Amarillo and Kevin Miller of Canyon, 1 brother; Morris Miller of Redding, Calif., 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
