Cecil Lee Trammell, 83, of Amarillo died Tuesday December 12, 2006 in Amarillo. Graveside Services will be at 10:00 AM Thursday December 14, 2006 at Llano East Cemetery with Donnie Trammell of Southwest Church of Christ officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Coulter Chapel 8310 S. Coulter Amarillo, TX. Cecil Lee Trammell was born February 14, 1923 in Ashland, OK to Isaac Ransom Trammell and Millie Ellen Orr. Cecil served in the United States Marine Corps during World War II. After his service time he returned to Oklahoma, where he married Billie Dean Jamison on January 3, 1948. In 1950 they moved to Amarillo where he went to work for the Amarillo Livestock Auction. He worked there for 50 plus years in different positions, including contract work for the last 10 years. His main interest was the cattle business but he also enjoyed fishing and the rodeo. He is preceded in death by his wife Billie Dean Trammell, and a sister Juanita Smith. Survivors include: 1 daughter Catherine A. Howard of Amarillo, 3 sons Lee Trammell of Mc Alister, OK, Pat Trammell of Perryton, and Michael Trammell of Amarillo; 1 sister Imogene King of Mc Alilster, OK, 2 brothers Don Trammell of Salem, OR, and Wendell Trammell of Amarillo; 5 grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations be made to Texas Cattle Feeders Association Education Fund at 5501 I-40 West Amarillo, TX 79106, or Cal Farley's Boys Ranch P.O. Box 1890 Amarillo, Texas 79174.
