Charles ""Squirrel"" Arthur, 48 of Amarillo died Sunday January 19, 2003 in Franklin County, Ark. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday at Paramount Terrace Christian Church with Bill Wade, pastor of Buchanan Street United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home 2800 S. Osage St. Mr. Arthur was born in Amarillo. He worked for Panhandle Gravel from 1975 to 1980, West Texas CAT from 1989 to 1992 and for North Amarillo Auto Parts from 1992 to 1998. In 1998 he began working for Tripp's Harley Davidson in the service department. At the time of his death he was the service manager. He married Janis Carter on June 21, 1974 at Amarillo. He was a member of the Amarillo H.O.G. Chapter, Amarillo Micro Midget Association, Paramount Terrace Christian Church, and had been a member of the Rolling Hills Riding Club. He was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Wayne Arthur in 1990. Survivors include his wife of the home, 1 daughter; Amy Arthur of Amarillo, 2 sisters; Mary Benningfield of Amarillo and Sandy Murphy of Dallas, 1 brother; Jerry Arthur of Amarillo. The family requests memorial donation be to Make-A-Wish of Amarillo 2324 Lakeview Dr. Amarillo, Texas 79109. Mr Arthur will be available for viewing Friday, January 24, 2003 at Rector Funeral Home 2800 S. Osage St.
