Charles Garfield Carpenter

Charles Garfield Carpenter, 89, of Amarillo died at home Monday August 4, 2014. Private Memorial service was held at the home with immediate family. Charles was born on March 2, 1925 in Calis, Ohio to William and Mary Carpenter. Charles graduated from Madison Local High School in Madison, Ohio. Charles was a WWII veteran serving his country in Europe. In 1947 he began his career with Mason and Hanger in Ohio, he worked with various contracting companies in numerous locations until he retired in October 2011 at the age of 86. Charles is survived by his wife LaNaya, a daughter Rebecca Hindbaugh and husband Robert, two grandchildren Dakotah and Kile Hindbaugh all of Amarillo, and a sister Frances Gauer and husband Fred of Ohio.
