Charles Gwyn

Charles Gwyn, 87 of Amarillo died Sunday Dec. 12, 2004. Services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel with Dale Moreland, associate pastor of San Jacinto Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home 2800 South Osage Amarillo, Texas. Mr. Gwyn was born in Amarillo. He graduated from Amarillo High School and served with the Military Police in the Army during WWII. He worked in the printing department for the Amarillo Globe News 47 years, retiring in 1982. Mr. Gwyn married Frances Lampton in1950 at Amarillo. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Kory Gwyn in 2000. He was a member of San Jacinto Baptist Church. Survivors include: his wife of the home, 2 sons; Charles ""Chuck"" Gwyn and wife Ronda of Amarillo and Cecil Gwyn and wife Buffy of Groom, 2 granddaughters; Rhoda Key of Amarillo and Kylie Pickering of Groom, 1 great-granddaughter; Morgan Key of Amarillo, 1 sister Betty Morgan of Fritch and 2 brothers; George Gwyn, and Freeman Gwyn both of Amarillo. The family requests memorial donations to the San Jacinto Baptist Church Youth Department or Odyssey Healthcare
