Charles E. 'Chuck' Maas

Charles E. ""Chuck"" Maas, 74 of Amarillo died Sunday March 30, 2003 at the Kritser Ranch. Services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday at Rector Funeral Home Chapel with Kevin Dotson, pastor of Immanuel Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home 2800 S. Osage St., Amarillo, Texas, 79103. Mr. Maas was born in Rhame, ND. He lived in Stratford for 20 years where he raised his 3 sons. Mr. Maas farmed and ranched most of his life. He worked for the Krister Ranch for the past 19 years. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. Mr. Maas lived life one day at a time, taking the good and making it better and taking the bad and turning it into good. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He married Juanita Hancock in 1951 at Clayton. Survivors include his wife of the home, 3 sons; Charles A. Maas and Skip Maas both of Amarillo and David Maas of Dumas, 4 sisters; Maxis Thompson of Scranton, ND, Norma Schneider of Bismarck, ND, Mary Holgard of Lemmon, SD and Cathy Hurley of Alamagordo, NM, 2 brothers; Milton Maas of Georgetown and Donald Maas of Pueblo, CO, 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
