Charles Fred Stehr

Charles Fred Stehr 71, of Amarillo died Monday, May 27, 2013 in Amarillo. Services will be at 10:00 AM Friday at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel with Jim Myers, pastor of Oakdale First Freewill Baptist Church oficiating. Graveside services will be at 3:00 PM Friday at Granite Cemetery in Granite, OK. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Amarillo, Texas. Mr. Stehr was born in Granite. He served in the Army during the Berlin Crisis. After his honorable service to our country, Mr. Stehr worked as an electronics repairman for many years. He retired in 2003 from CR Industries in Hobart. He moved to Amarillo in 2003. He was a loving father, husband, grandfather and friend. Mr. Stehr was a member of Oakdale First Freewill Baptist Church. He married Helen Radcliff in 2003 at Clovis, NM. He is survived by his wife, Helen, 1 son, Charles E. Stehr of Amarillo; 3 step-sons, Terry D. Bussey of Wichita Falls, Richard Kevin Bussey of Amarillo and Daniel Thrasher of Pace, FL; 3 sisters, Ruth Hawkins of Memphis, TX., Shirley Hudson of LA., and Lelan Penison of GA.; and 2 brothers Ricky Dale Covington of Little Rock, AR and Ruben Stehr of Kansas City, MO; 9 grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
