Charles Lee Walters

Charles Lee Walters, 71 of Wildorado died Saturday, January 28, 2012 at his home in Wildorado. Services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday at Palo Duro Baptist Church with Ron Muller, pastor officiating. Interment will be at Palo Duro Wildorado Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Mr. Walters was born on May 7, 1940 in Wright City, Okla., to Charles Lonnie and Etta Mae Walters. He graduated from Muleshoe High School in 1959. He worked for Sherley Anderson Grain for 18 years. He retired in 2000 as superintendent. After his retirement, Mr. Walters moved to Wildorado. Mr. Walters was a member of Palo Duro Baptist Church. He loved to woodworking and gardening. He also loved to talk. He was given the nickname, ""Talk A Lot Pops"". He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He married the love of his life, Nancy Alice Camp on June 27, 1965 in Amarillo. They celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary the day before his death. He is survived by his loving wife, 2 sons, Monty Dale Johnston and his wife Christy of Wildorado and Kevin Michael Walters of Amarillo; 3 daughters, Marilyn Donnelle Blasingame of Bushland, LaJuanna JoAnn Smith and Geneva Charlene Walters both of Wildorado; 2 brothers, Bennie Walters and William Walters both of Dumas; 1 sister, Carol Jones of Hooks; 18 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. The family suggests memorial donations be made to Palo Duro Baptist Church 5704 FM 809 Wildorado, TX 79098
