Charlie Poppee Bryant 76, of Amarillo died Monday April 15, 2013 in Amarillo. Memorial services will be at 10:00 AM Friday at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel with Bob Miller officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Amarillo, Texas. Poppee was born on October 3, 1936 in Corsicana to Robert and Elizabeth Bryant. He moved to Amarillo in 1960 from Lubbock. Poppee was a very talented man. He worked at various jobs during his life. He worked as a truck driver and enjoyed raising and caring for livestock. Poppee loved spending time with his family and friends. He was a kind and generous man who would give the shirt off his back to help others in their time of hardships. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and especially teaching his grandchildren about life. He was a member of the Methodist church. He married Christine Hall in 1955 in Lubbock. He is survived by his wife, two sons, Randy Hall of Albuquerque, NM and Ronnie Bryant and his wife Heidi of Amarillo and five precious grandchildren, Shayle, Heather, Megan, Ashley and Katelynn. The family requests memorial donations to Olivias Angels in care of BSA Hospice.
