Charlie 'Chuck' Melear

Charlie G. "Chuck" Melear Jr. 59, of Amarillo died Tues. Dec. 24, 2019. Service is 2:00 pm Sat. Jan. 4th 2020 at More Church, 5511 W Amarillo Blvd, Amarillo, TX 79106. Arrangements and cremation by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel. Charlie was born Nov. 12, 1960 in Dyess airforce base hospital near Abilene to Charlie Sr. and Maggie Melear. He married the love of his life, Nicky Caster in 1980. They were married 20 years. They remarried August 8th, 2019. She stood by his side throughout the sickness. Charlie was employed at Amarillo city and weld for many years. Charlie was a great bowler in his younger years, in his last few years he had a 200 average. People would gather around and watch him. Charlie was a member of More Church where he served the Lord until he died. Charlie was preceded in death by his mother and one sister, Betty Jean Melear. He is survived by his wife, his father, two brothers; Bill and Calvin Melear, three nephews, one niece, four great-nieces and two great great nephews.
