Cherrie King Allen

Cherrie King Allen, 64, of Amarillo died Saturday, Jan. 18, 2003. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday at Rector Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St. Ms. Allen was born in Carnegie, Oklahoma. She moved to Amarillo from Carnegia in 1958. She worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone, and Texas Tech School of Allied Health. She retired from the VA Medical Center in Amarillo in 2001. Survivors include: 5 sons, Allen King, Chris King, and Chad King all of Amarillo, John King of Broken Arrow, OK, and Steven King of Whitehouse, TX; 2 sisters, Effie Erickson of Mt. View, OK, and Ruby Holland of Norman, OK; 1 brother, Roy A Thornton, Jr. of Tulsa, OK; 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
