Cheryl Jayne Young

Chery Jayne Young, 62, of Amarillo died Wednesday July 1, 2020. No services are scheduled. Cremation and Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage. Cheryl was born November 5, 1957 in Webcity Mo. to Carol and Gary Simmons. She moved to Amarillo in 1960 where she lived the rest of her life. Cheryl was a very independent woman, but was a loving caring person. She loved Animals, especially cats and dogs. She was a homebody that love the comfort of her home. She enjoyed watching soap operas and playing mahjong. Cheryl was preceded in death by her father, her early husband, Carl Young; her late husband. Jimmy Hanes; and a baby boy, Michael Hanes. She is survived by her mother, her daughter, Jennifer Young; her son, Dylan Hanes; her brother, Richard Simmons; her aunt, Linda Pearson; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
