Clinton Lee 'Papa/Dumb Dumb' Arney

Clinton Lee "Papa/Dumb Dumb" Arney 77, of Pampa, passed away Saturday, December 17, 2022. Funeral service is 2:00 pm Thursday, December 22 at Church Alive officiated by Pastor James Messer. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage. The family will receive guests on Wednesday from 9:00 am-2:00 pm at the funeral home for visitation. Clinton was born in Denison, Texas on July 9, 1945, to Clint and Ruth Arney. Clinton was a Vietnam veteran. He served in the Army from August of 1966 to August 1970. He was introduced to the love of his life, Sharon on a blind date. They married in 1969 and raised 3 children together. While raising the family and working full time he also went to college at night and earned his Associate Degree in Business. He retired from CIG in 1990 (Colorado interstate Gas). He then went to work at Pantex retiring in 2015. He taught electrical theory, was an awesome mechanic, and could fix anything. Clinton always had time to share his time, advice and knowledge to anyone in need. Clinton was the rock of his family, teaching many to love unconditionally. He was an example to others on how to love and had a world of knowledge behind him that he was always willing to share. Clinton always set a good example for others. Clinton will be missed by many. Clinton was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 48 years Sharon Arney, and his sister, Nancy Hart. Those left to cherish him are two sons; Larry and his wife Cindy, and Steve and his wife Amanda, one daughter, Shannah Heymer and her fianc Jesse James, two brothers, Dennis and his wife Donna, and Randy and his wife Glenda, eleven grandchildren; Justin Arney, Kayti Larson, Colton Faulkner and his fianc Jessica, Trevor Faulkner, CJ Arney and his wife Kendall, Jacee Cross and her husband David, Mia Moore, Riley Moore, Tanner Kimbell and his wife Bailey, Tyler Kimbell and Trapper Heymer and his fianc Claire and 8 great grandchildren.
