Clinton Conley

As a child of Christ, Clinton went to be with the Lord on May 6, 2021. Memorial services will be at 2pm Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel with Roger Hubbard officiating. Clinton was born to Judith and Donald Conley in Lubbock Texas. He came to Amarillo with mom and dad in 1973 and made is home here for rest of his life. He attended school in Amarillo, graduating from Amarillo High School in 1990. One of his special moments was to become a Boy Scout with Troop 64 of Amarillo, Texas. As a Scout he made life-long friends with Matt Wood of Spearman, Joby Taylor of Amarillo and Chris Campbell of Amarillo, Texas. All four of them eventually became Eagle Scouts during their teen years. They have remained friends and get togethers the last being in April of 2020. Clinton attended Amarillo College and West Texas State University. As a young man, he loved to work on anything that had a motor. He followed his grandfathers (Charles Conley) footsteps and became an aircraft mechanic and inspector. He worked for Cooley Aviation, Dave Wright, his own company Conley Aero Service, and lastly for D & D Aviation in Clovis, New Mexico. He loved aviation events and had been to the national Experimental Aircraft Association, in Oshkosh, Wisconsin with his family, on many occasions. Clinton was an avid 2nd Amendment supporter and had a passion for guns and firearms. He is survived by mother and dad, Don and Judith Conley, brother Jason and wife Crystal, his uncle Charles and wife Janet, and cousins David and James Conley, aunt Linda Lincoln of Claude, his step children Lori Russell and Nash Cook, and very special thoughts to Terri Conley his companion and friend.
