Connie G. Swafford

Connie Swafford, 69, of Amarillo died Wednesday, October 26, 2022. Graveside service is 11:00 am Wednesday, November 2, at Memorial Park Cemetery with Fr. John Valdez from St. Thomas Catholic Church. Arrangement and cremation are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage. The family will receive guests for visitation Sunday 1-7 pm at the funeral home. Connie was born in Amarillo on January 5, 1953, to James and Wilma Wood. She graduated from Palo Duro High School. She met Robert through one of his friends during her junior year of high school. The high school sweethearts would get married in March of 1973. They had two children Stacy and Tray. Connie was proud of her grandchildren. Connie was very supportive and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed attending their games and extracurricular activities. Connie was adventurous and loved to travel. She loved going to Disney World in Florida. She was looking forward to their trip to Iceland. Connie was preceded in death by her parents, James and Wilma Wood, and her brother, James "Ritchie" Wood. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Robert Swafford, her daughter, Stacy Ramos and her husband Leo, her son, Tray Swafford, three grandchildren; Avery and Ryan Ramos, and Sydnee Pratt, and her brother-in-law, Ronnie Swafford and his wife Carol.
