Consuelo Martinez Patino

Consuelo Patino 89, of Amarillo died Wednesday, May 17, 2017 in Amarillo. Rosary services will be at 6:00 pm Tuesday and 6:00 pm Wednesday at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel. Mass of the Christian Burial will be at 1:00 pm Thursday at St. Laurence Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mexico. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Mrs. Patino was born on May 13, 1928 in San Diego, CA., to Francisco and Martina Martinez. She moved to Amarillo in 2008 from Santa Ana, CA. Consuelo was the matriarch of her family. She was an excellent wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed caring for her family and friends and was great example of a true friend. Consuelo was also a very religious woman. She instilled great Christian values to her children. She married Gonzalo Patino on April 5, 1951 in Arandas, Jalisco, MX. She is survived by her husband of 66 years; three daughters, Juana Patino of Ocotlan, Jalisco, MX, Esther Patino and Maria Patino both of Amarillo; six sons, Manuel Patino of Ocotlan, Jalisco, MX, Jorge Patino of Anaheim, CA, Gerardo Patino, Gilberto Patino, Alejandro Patino and David Patino all of Amarillo; 28 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
