Consuelo Perez, 97. Our beloved Mother and Grandmother passed away on August 1, 2018. Rosary will be at 5:30 pm Sunday at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel. Mass of the Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am Monday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Fr. Jose Gomez, celebrant officiating. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Consuelo was born January 12, 1921 in Del Agua, Colorado. She moved to Amarillo in 1955 and was the oldest of 12 children. Consuelo married Jose Luis Perez on May 20, 1940. Together they had 5 children and built a loving home. She devoted her time to raising her children and grandchildren, enjoyed cooking, singing, and family. She was dedicated to her faith and the Lord. Sunday's at Buela's were known to all who knew her. She started a beautiful tradition where there was never a shortage of food, family and fellowship. Buela was the matriarch of our family and taught all of us the true meaning of love and family. She will truly be missed. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jose and her 2 sons, Joe and Ernie Perez. Survivors include, 5 sisters and 2 brothers. 3 children, Martha Figueroa, Gus Perez and Ruben Perez. 19 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Surrounded by love with lots of family.
