Corrine Ruth Martin , 59, of Amarillo, passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2007 in Amarillo. Graveside Services will be held on Friday, January 26, 2007 at 3:00 PM in Llano Cemetery with Reverend K. Ray McDowell and Reverend Carol Hartsfield of Church of the Nazarene officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, Osage Chapel, 2800 South Osage St. Corrine was born December 30, 1947 to James and Ruth Crutchfield in Staten Island, New York. She met her husband Jim after moving to Ohio in 1972. They moved to Amarillo in 1973 and have made Amarillo their home for the last 34 years. Corrine love the ocean and beaches that she enjoyed from a young age. She loved family camping trips to the mountains in New Mexico. She was a nurse at Family Hospital until it closed. She then worked as a nurse for the past 10 years at Clairmont Retirement Home and loved the Clairmont and looking after the elderly residents. She often said she found ""her calling in life"". She is survived by her husband, Jim Martin of the home; a daughter, Tracy Kenyon of Amarillo; four sons, James Martin II, Daniel Martin, Ray McMahon and Tom McMahon all of Amarillo; and 12 grandchildren. A memorial fund as been set up for Corrine Martin at Amarillo Community Federal Credit Union, Main Office, 6100 I-40 West, Amarillo TX 79109.
