Courtney Crisler 71, of Amarillo died Monday February 17, 2014 in Amarillo. Memorial services will be at 11:00 AM Friday at Polk Street United Methodist Church with Dr. Burt Palmer officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Courtney was born on September 29, 1942 in Memphis. He graduated from Tascosa High School in 1961. He worked in the parts department of American Trailer. He joined the Navy in 1969. After being discharged from the Navy, Courtney returned to American Trailer where he held many positions. He also worked for Hobbs Trailer, City Parts and Equipment and was currently employed at Utility Trailer, where he had worked since 1999. Courtney met the love of his life, Len Slocum in 1959. They were married in 1962. He loved spending time with her and always looked forward to their annual trips to Red River, NM. Courtney was a member of Polk Street United Methodist Church. He was also a member of Palo Duro Masonic Lodge #1239, where he had served as Master. He also served as District Deputy Grand Master. He was a a member of the Scottish Rite and York Rite. He is survived by 2 sons, Courtney Crisler and Kenneth Crisler both of Amarillo; his sister in law, Vicki Youngblood and her husband Tim of Amarillo; his niece, Heather Peacock and her husband Chris of Amarillo, 2 grandchildren, Taylor Len and Ashley, one great-granddaughter, Madison and his very special friends, Julie, Micah, Charles and Courtney Len Deason all of Texline. The family suggest memorial donations to the Masonic Home and School of Texas 338 Grapevine Highway, Hurst, Texas 76054 or the Panhandle Branch of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Red Oak Office Park 3611 Soncy Road Amarillo TX 79119.
