Dale Young

Dale Young 85, of Amarillo died Thursday, November 30, 2017 at his home. Services will be at 2:00 PM Monday, Dec. 4, 2017 at Comanche Trail Church of Christ with Loran Harper officiating. Military honors will be by Volleys for Veterans. interment will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Dale was born in Hope, NM and moved to Amarillo in 1964 from Stephenville. He worked as a CPA for more than 45 years and made many life long friends. He was a faithful member of Comanche Trail Church of Christ. Dale married Barbara Browning on June 3, 1956 in Lohn. He was preceded in death by a son, Tim Young in 2002 He is survived by his wife, five sons, Lawrence Young, DVM and his wife Glenda of Artesia, NM, Bryan Young of Round Rock, Mark Young and his wife Twyla of Abilene, Kendall Young and his wife, Debbie of Temple and David Young and his wife Fabbie of Amarillo; three sisters, Wilma Lane of Albuquerque, NM, Carolyn Hawkins of Vancouver, BC and Patsy Cochran of Fayetteville, Ark; 15 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm Sunday at the funeral home and there will be a viewing from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm Monday at the church.
