Daniel Vicente Contreras III, 24, of Amarillo, Texas, passed away on January 7, 2026.
Private family services were held.
Daniel was born on November 12, 2001, in San Angelo, Texas, and attended Tascosa High School. He worked in construction as an electrician and machine operator.
Above all else, Daniel cherished time spent with his two sons, Daniel and Romeo, who were the center of his world. He had a deep love for motorcycles, enjoyed working on his cars and bikes, and was a devoted anime fan—especially Naruto. Daniel was known for his free spirit; he preferred being barefoot whenever possible and was even known to ride his motorcycle barefoot on occasion.
He loved barbecuing chicken and believed lemon pepper made just about everything better, using it whenever he could. Daniel also enjoyed collecting anime figures and Lego cars, and he was a lifelong fan of all things Star Wars.
Daniel had a generous and protective heart. He took in his siblings and helped raise them, always offering encouragement, support, and guidance.
He is survived by his sons, Daniel Martinez and Romeo Contreras; brothers, Gabriel Contreras and Dar Botello; sisters, Briana Contreras and Delilah Contreras; aunt, Raquel Vore; parental figures, Jana and Dene Coble, and Jamie Dauer; father, Daniel Lopez Contreras; and his first-born fur baby, Pedro, affectionately known as “Big Dawg.”
