Daniel G. Marus 62, of Amarillo died Sunday, April 23, 2017 in Amarillo. Memorial services will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 26, 2017 At Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel with Terry Callis, chaplain officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Daniel was born on November 27, 1954 in Charlotte, NC to George and Alice Marus. He retired from Excel Machinery, Ltd. after 15 years of service. Daniel loved the outdoors, especially fishing and gardening. He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed building model cars. Daniel had many lifelong friends and was very fond of his dog. Daniel never said "Good-Bye" it was always, "See Ya." He is survived by his wife, Donell of Amarillo; three daughters, Lelani Griego and her husband Bill of Amarillo, Jessica Nash and her husband Chris of Roanoke, AL and Jennifer Smith of Tulsa, OK; two brothers, Mike Marus and his wife Robbie of Colorado Springs, CO and Stevie Marus of Havre de Grace, MD; one sister, Cynthia Moran and her husband Ron of Manhattan, KS; 5 grandchildren, Nathaniel, Joshua, Alex, Kay-Leigh and Ann Marie.
