The rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm Thursday, September 15 in the Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:30 pm Friday, September 16 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Jose Gomez as celebrant. Interment will be in Llano Cemetery East by Rector Funeral Home 2800 South Osage St. Daniel was born on March 20, 1967 in Amarillo to Cleo and Cris Sandoval. He attended Caprock High School, played baseball for the Diablo's, and ran track for Our Lady of Guadalupe. He was the past president of the Catholic Youth Organization, and was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. He married Paula Stephenson on December 19, 1994 in Amarillo. Daniel enjoyed playing chess and going to the movies. He also loved to eat, and became a member of the breakfast club. He was especially known for his break dancing skills. His outlook on life was extremely optimistic, and that inspired his family and friends. He had a kind and generous heart, and never met a stranger. He will be deeply missed. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; nephews, Elisha Cantu and Angel Sandoval; and a niece, Aneila Cantu. Survivors include his parents, Cleo and Cris Sandoval of Amarillo; his wife, Paula Sandoval of Mesquite; 3 children, Saydee Sandoval of Mesquite, Jacob Sandoval of Granbury, and Danielle Sandoval of Amarillo; 3 brothers, Cleo Jr. of Amarillo, Richard Sandoval and wife Debbie of Flagstaff, AZ, and Stephen Sandoval of Amarillo; 2 sisters, Yolanda Sandoval of Amarillo, and Beatrice Cantu and husband Abel of Amarillo; Godparents, Marcos and Lisa Sandoval; caretakers, Zach Sandoval, Ruben Cantu, and Beatrice Cantu; and a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, and friends.
