Danny Joe Lara 47 of Amarillo died SundayMarch 22, 2009 in Amarillo. Rosary services will be at 7:00 PM Thursday at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel. Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Friday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Msgr. Rex Nicholl officiating. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel 2800 S. Osage St. Mr. Lara was born in Amarillo. He attended Caprock High School. He worked as a cement finisher for Rudy and Anna Valverde. He was a Catholic and was baptized at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Mr. Lara was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Patricia Lara, his grandparents Flavio M. Griego and Sotelo and Anna Lara. Survivors include 3 daughters, Geraldine Lara of Albuquerque, Christin Lara of Amarillo and Chasity Lara of Arkansas; 1 son, Jeremy Lara of Albuquerque; 5 sisters, Linda Lara of Borger, Belinda Demuth and Tanya Rodriquez both of Merriam, KS, Mary Ann Lara of Amarillo and Tina Lara of Lubbock; 2 brothers, Gilbert Lara of Lexington, NC and Christopher Lara of Lubbock; his grandmother, Jesusa Cantu Griego of San Angelo and 2 granddaughters.
