Danny Rogers, 67 of Mobeetie, died Monday June 27, 2011 in Amarollo. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday at the First Baptist Church of Mobeetie with Rev. Don McElroy, Pastor officiating. Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM Friday at Rose Hill Cemetery in Tulia. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St. Mr. Rogers was born in Plainview, He graduated from Kress High School and received a bachelor's degree from West Texas State University in Canyon. He moved to Amarillo in 1967 and to Lake Tanglewood in 1978. He and his wife owned and operated Cashway Plains Teachers and Office Supply in Amarillo for 31 years. They retired to Mobeetie in 2001. He was currently serving as a Deacon at First Baptist Church. He married Betty Bartram on July 20, 1963. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, John Rogers. He is survived by his wife of the home; 1 son, Dr. Dan Rogers and his wife Sylvia of West Palm Beach, FL; 1 daughter Vikki Steinrauf and husband Joseph of Indianapolis, IN; 2 granddaughters, Tina Covalt of Amarillo and Maggie Steinrauf of Indianapolis, IN; 2 brothers, Harold Rogers of Greeenville and Ed Rogers of Kress and numerous nieces and nephews.
