Darry Kent Wiser

Darry Kent Wiser, 80, of Amarillo died Friday, June 24, 2022. The family and friends will host a memorial service at 2:00 pm Tuesday June 28, 2022, at Temple Baptist Church officiated by Pastor Scott Higginbotham. Arrangements and cremation are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage. Kent wiser was born on November 14, 1941, in Plano, Texas. His parents, Calvin and Jerry Wiser, had three sons and two daughters, in that order. Kent loved his family and was always pulling a joke on someone. He always had a smile and a fun-loving way. In 2006, Kent moved to Amarillo where he lived the rest of his life. He loved Jesus, guns, and the GOP. At the age of 75, Kent got a new job as a Cowboy host at Red River Steakhouse. He loved his job. He met people from all over the world and loved what he did. Kent went to be with Jesus on June 24, 2022. His passing was peaceful. Everyone that knew Kent, loved him. He was witty, funny, and kind. He will always be missed. Kent was preceded in death by his father, Calvin Wiser, his mother, Wilma Geraldine, his brother, Charles "Chuck" and his sister, Jeanie. Kent is survived by his son, Devin, brother, Joe (Nancy), his sister, Vickie (Marshall), nieces, nephews, a host of relatives and friends, his dogs, Ricky Bobby, Tillie May, Puggie Eugene, and Lucy.
