David Franklin Camfield

David F. Camfield, age 65, passed away Thursday, June 12, 2025, at Northwest Texas Medical Center following a lengthy illness.

David was born May 1, 1960, in Rogers, Arkansas and lived in Amarillo for most of his life. He was the son of the late David and Sue (Haxel) Camfield. David lived in Colorado for several years and enjoyed Monument Lake with his family. He was a Registered Nurse for more than 35 years and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Amarillo College. David enjoyed reading and astronomy.

In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his wife, Janis (Bruce) Camfield. He is survived by his daughter, Robin Tarr and his son, Taylor Camfield, both of Amarillo; grandchildren: Madison, Abbigail, Kaylee, and Landon; brother, Peter (Carolyn) Camfield of Guymon, and sister, Cary (Mike) Spivey of Fort Worth; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Patty Bruce of Amarillo, Rex (Sally) Bruce of Sublette, Kansas, Linda Bruce, and Mike (Judy) Bruce, all of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and many loving nieces and nephews.

A private combined memorial service for David and Janis will be conducted at Monument Lake, Colorado.
