David Lynn Miller

David Lynn Miller 60, of Amarillo died, Friday, September 25, 2020 in Amarillo. Memorial services will be at 11 am Thursday at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel with Bernie Barbour, pastor of Metropolitan Community Church officiating. Graveside services and interment will be at 3 pm Thursday at Hansford Cemetery near Spearman. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. David was born on Oct. 29, 1959 in Spearman to Joe "J.C." and Beth (Uptergrove) Miller. He graduated from Borger High School and received a Bachelor's degree in economics from Texas Tech University. David worked in the insurance industry most of his life. He served as a State Farm agent and a customer service representative at AIG for many years. David had a very outgoing personality. He enjoyed making others smile. He was always happy, even during the most difficult times of his life. He loved every one he met and will be deeply missed by all those who knew him. He was a member of Metropolitan Community Church. David was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his husband, Jimmy Healy Miller; his brother Ed Miller and his wife Joyce; a niece, D'Aun Davis and her husband Ryan; his nephew, Eddie Miller and his wife Jordan; a special friend Rex Clifton and a host of extended family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 3611 Soncy Rd, Amarillo, TX 79119. The family asks that masks be worn and social distancing be honored.
