Dean Newton

Dean Newton 64, of Amarillo, died Friday, December 17, 2021, in Amarillo. Memorial services will be at 11 am Thursday, December 23, 2021, at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel with Veronica Sites, chaplain of the Texas State Guard officiating. Cremation and arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Dean was born in Saddlebrook, NJ. He moved to Amarillo in 1990 from Albuquerque, NM. He worked as a long-haul truck driver for 30 years and was currently employed by the City of Amarillo Solid Waste Dept. Dean enjoyed working on his truck and loved his dogs, Zorro, Star, Cindy, and Noah. He married his wife, Brenda on February 24, 1995, in Amarillo. He was preceded in death by his son, Jason. He is survived by his wife; six sons; Brian Newton, Michael Newton, Robert Becerra, Erik Becerra, and Chad Becerra; one daughter, Theresa Newton; two sisters, Pam Fatovic and Sharon Franks; 15 grandchildren.
