Debbie Sue Middaugh-Wheeler 53, of Amarillo went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Saturday, May 18, 2013 in Amarillo after a lengthy battle with cancer. Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday at Sunset Memorial Cemetery in Stinnett. Memorial services will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday at San Jacinto Assembly of God, 400 N. Georgia St., with Billy Snider, pastor officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Debbie was born in Borger on December 28, 1959 to Sue Roberts-Miller and Gary Middaugh. She graduated from Amarillo College with an associates degree in teaching. She worked closely with the Amarillo Independent School District for more than 30 years. She was an active member of San Jacinto Assembly of God. Debbie was a wonderful wife, mother, daughter, grandmother and friend. She loved crafting and spending time with her family and friends. She also loved spending time with her precious grandchildren. She married Terry Wheeler on December 31, 1982. She is survived by her husband; one son, Jacob Wheeler and his wife Augusta of Hereford; one daughter, Terra Wheeler of Amarillo; three sisters, Becky Anderson and her husband Tim, Tammy Curnutt and her husband Henry and Stacy Middaugh, all of Fritch; her mother and step-father, Sue and Charlie Miller of Olney, her father and step-mother, Gary and Kathy Middaugh of Fritch; two grandchildren, Ryddeck and Reese Wheeler. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be to Childer's Place or the Cancer Treatment Centers of America
