Dennis Ray Lindvay

Dennis Ray Lindvay, 82, of Wheeler, TX passed away October 7, 2025.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 AM, Friday, October 10, 2025 at Rector Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home.

Dennis was born January 25, 1943 in Amarillo, TX to Louis Lindvay and Lucy Giles Lindvay. He graduated from Amarillo High School in 1961 then attended Houston Commonwealth Mortuary School. Dennis met and eventually married Diana Romine Farmer on May 25, 1964. Dennis worked for Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors and Llano Cemetery as a counselor and salesman. He also owned Candy Cane Childcare, and worked for the State of Texas as a meat inspector serving all of the rural cities and Boys Ranch.

He is preceded in death by siblings, Marjorie Handley and Rosalie “Rose” Romero, Louis “Sonny” Lindvay Jr., Gary Lindvay, and 2 infants.

Dennis is survived by his daughter, Michelle Adams and husband Tim of Wheeler, TX; son, Kevin Lindvay and wife Kim of Amarillo, TX; former wife, Diana Lindvay of Wheeler, TX; grandchildren, Ashley, Haley, Preston, and Brandon and wife Aly; and great-grandchildren, Brayden, Benjamin, and Abbi.

Anyone whose life he touched, he always left an impression!
