Dixie Janow-Sparks

Dixie Janow-Sparks, 81, of Amarillo died Monday February 10, 2020. The family will hold a memorial service Friday 11:00 Am at Trinity Fellowship Church officiated by Beau Williams. 503 E Willow Creek Dr, Amarillo TX 79108. Interment will be at Llano Cemetery at 2:00 Pm. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Dixie was born July 5, 1938, in Barnsdall Ok. To Anna and Kern Janow. She married the love of her life, William Sparks January 21, 1961. She was a devoted wife for 60 Years. They dated before William joined the army and just resumed right where they left off. Mrs. Sparks was a God-fearing woman. She was very family oriented. Dixie and William enjoyed taking their family out camping, bowling, and roller skating. She was a strong-willed woman, but very loving. She enjoyed playing the organ, Piano and steel guitar. Dixie was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, her son, Jim Sparks and his wife Lesa, two daughters; Cindy Costa and her husband Fred, and Kim Carroll and her husband Gary, two brothers; Jim and Jack Janow, one sister, Debbie Rosser, seven grandchildren; Jantzen, Azia, Kim, Michelle, Kris, Jimmy Grey, and Joshua, and twelve great-grandchildren.
