Dolita Marie Simmons, passed away February 8, 2024, in Lubbock, Texas

Dolita was born on February 26, 1969, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

She was raised by Mary Ann and Leroy Simmons in Amarillo, Texas.

She was a member of the ROTC at Tascosa High School. She also Qualified for Marine Corp Sniper while still in High School. She was the only female to compete on an all-male drill team.

She enjoyed fishing, paint ball, camping, sewing, and listening to music. She also did and loved carpentry work; she also did some mechanic work on vehicles in her spare time.

Dolita is preceded in death by her parents Leroy and Mary Ann Simmons. Her best friend she called a brother (Little Bill) William Hawley, Her close friend Carla Jai and last Sharon Loya a second mom to her.

Dolita leaves behind her Twin Girls Ann Marie V Simmons of Borger, Tx, Kay-Leigh R Simmons of Borger, Tx, Adopted son Virgil L Hawley of Borger, Tx, Brothers Bobby Loya of Amarillo, Tx, Richard Loya of Amarillo, Tx, Harry Loya of Kansas, and a life long friend, Terry Ross Sr of Amarillo, Tx. Her best friends that were her circle of life were Annette M Hernandez of Amarillo, Tx, LeLani Hawley of Amarillo, Tx, Kelly Scott of Borger, Tx and Virginia Germany of White Deer, Tx.

She also has lots of Nieces and Nephews and her Fur Baby Bella. And a Host of more Extended family and Friends.
