Dominga Tristan

Dominga “Minga” Tristan, age 70 of Amarillo passed away Friday, July 4, 2025 at Hillside Heights Rehabilitation Suites following a long illness.

Minga was born in Bryan, Texas August 29, 1954 and lived in Amarillo for more than 20 years. She enjoyed word puzzles, coloring, and had collected pens.

Minga was precede in death by her mother, Paula Lopez; husband, Benito Tristan; and daughter, Norma Lopez. She is survived by her daughter, Sofia (Mark) Rinehart of Amarillo; grandchildren: Haley (Anthony) Villareal, Braelyn Rinehart, Annazay Rinehart, and Mark Rinehart Jr. all of Amarillo; great-granddaughters: Natalie, Jasper, and Brinley.

A graveside service honoring Minga’s life will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday July 9 at Llano Cemetery, 2900 South Hayes Street, Amarillo with Pastor Michael Chase officiating. There will be no visitation.
