Don Hugh Duncan

Don Hugh Duncan 57, of Amarillo died Wednesday July 13, 2011 at his home. Memorial Services will be at 10:00 AM Monday at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel with Rev. Casey Dumas of Christian Heritage Church officiating. Cremation and arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St. Mr. Duncan was born in Canyon. He lived in Amarillo for 30 years and graduated from Amarillo High School. After serving in the Navy, he worked as a boilermaker and was a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers Local #531 since 1977. Mr. Duncan was an extremely hard worker. He retired in 2009. After retiring, he loved tinkering around his house, a place where his family loved to call ""Home"". He loved helping any one in need and dearly loved spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hugh G. and Pollie Duncan. He is survived by 3 sons, Luther Don Duncan, Jeremy Dean Duncan and his wife Christy all of Amarillo and Patrick Deane Duncan and his fianc, Ellen Cox of Altus, OK. 2 sisters, Susan Silver and Margaret Goodson and her husband Greg all of Amarillo; 2 Step-son, Chris and Jon Drerup, 3 brothers, Lloyd Duncan and Carl Duncan both of Amarillo and Larry Duncan of Stewart, Alaska; 3 grandchildren, Jacey, Caleb and Hunter and many nieces and nephews and a host of friends. He will be dearly missed.
