Donald G. Davis

Donald G. Davis, 74, of Amarillo died Sunday March 26, 2006 in Amarillo. Memorial Services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday at Comanche Trail Church of Christ with Loran Harper, Minister officiating. Cremation and arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Coulter Chapel, 8310 South Coulter Amarillo. There will be no viewing or visitation. Mr. Davis was born in Castro County, TX in 1931. He was a member of the Amarillo Fire Department for 33 years and retired as a Lieutenant. He co-owned Custom Welding and Manufacturing from 1963-1984, and co-owned Custom RV, in the 70's. He was the finest man, beloved father, and husband. He was preceded in death by a son Kenneth Davis, and by a grandson Jesse Davis. Survivors include his wife Betty of the home; 5 sons Jerre Davis, and Kirk Davis of Amarillo; Keith Davis, and Jack Davis of Modesto, CA; and Jeff Davis of Austin; 7 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.
