Donald Morgan Wright

Donald Morgan "Max" Wright 78, of Amarillo died Friday, Jan. 4, 2019 in Amarillo. Family graveside services will be at 11 AM Monday at Llano Cemetery with Military Honors by Volleys for Veterans. Memorial services will be at 2 PM in the First Baptist Church sanctuary with Dr. Howard Batson, senior pastor and Chris Quinto, grandson officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel. Max was born on June 23, 1940 in Brownfield. He moved to Amarillo as a child. Max attended Amarillo High School in 1958. He enlisted into the Navy in January of 1958 and was honorably discharged in January of 1964. He worked as an electrician for Duke Electric for 30 years and retired from Pantex in 2015 as the Electrical Safety Supervisor after more than 30 years of dedicated service. Max married Janet Traweek on March 28, 1986. He was a faithful member of First Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Janet; four daughters, Jana Brewster of Canyon, Jackie Quinto and her husband Jerry and Julie Brown and her husband, Shaun all of Amarillo and Lisa Tirado of Seattle, WA; three sons, Billy Wright and his wife Melissa of Alma, AR, Ricky Wright and Rose of Amarillo and J.L. Terry and his wife Nancy of Austin; one brother, Tommy Wright of Amarillo; 15 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
