Donna Hairgrove-Reeves

A graveside service will be at 11:00 am Saturday, July 9 at Memorial Park Cemetery with Jerry Davey officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home 2800 S. Osage St. Donna was born on February 12, 1933 in Lone Wolf, Oklahoma to O.E. and Ruby Hairgrove. She spent most of her childhood in Amarillo, and later moved to Houston where she resided for 30 years. While in Houston, she was a cosmetician for Eckerd Drugstore until her retirement. She had resided in Amarillo since her retirement, and was a member of Pleasant Valley Christian Church. Donna was devoted to her job, and her responsibilities at home. She also enjoyed playing Bingo, and sewing. At times, she was a feisty person with a very strong will, but always had a kind and loving heart. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Bob Reeves; a daughter, Deanna Asher; a sister, Paula Latham, and her parents. Survivors include her 2 sons, Johnny Land of Amarillo, and Bobby Reeves of Houston; a sister, Jo Beth Terry of Fritch; 8 grandchildren, Rodney Doyle, Rhonda Erb, Robin McFarland, Meagan Boydstun, Brad Asher, Sunni Stephenson, Ryan Reeves, and Riley Reeves; and 19 great grandchildren.
