Donovan L. Walters Jr, 81, of Amarillo died Thursday, September 17, 2020. Funeral services will be at 1 pm Wednesday at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel. Arrangments are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage. The family will receive friends Monday and Tuesday 6-7:45 pm Donovan was born in Oklahoma City Ok. August 17 1939 to Cora and Donovan Walters Sr. He was a good man that loved everyone. Mr. Walters believed you treated everyone like family. His family was everything to him. He was very passionate about his faith. He was very patient and kind-hearted and always had good advice. Donovan had a really fun sense of humor. He always had jokes and stories to keep you laughing. Donovan was a proud veteran that strongly believed in his country and what the USA stands for. Mr. Walters is preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and a great-grandson. He is survived by his wife, Gayle Walters; his three daughters, Traci McDaniels and her husband John, Robin stone and Sharon Roberts; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
