Dora Bermea Constancio Pence

Dora Bermea Constancio Pence, 60, of Amarillo passed away on Tuesday June 20, 2023. Catholic Mass will be held on Tuesday at 2pm at St. Mary's Catholic Church. (1200 S Washington St, Amarillo, TX 79102) Interment directly following at Dreamland Cemetery in Canyon, Texas (26500 S US 87 Canyon, TX 79015). A recitation of the rosary will be held at 6pm at Rector Funeral Home on Monday June 26, 2023. Dora was born to Federico Jr and Rebecca Constancio on October 30, 1962 in Lubbock, Texas. After spending her early years in Lubbock the family moved to Friona, Texas. Dora attended the Friona school system graduating from Friona High School in 1981. After graduation Dora moved to Amarillo and worked a variety of jobs, one of her favorites being The Big Texan Gift Shop. During this time she met Charles Ray "Chuck" Brogdon and the two fell hopelessly in love. From their love they were blessed with a step-son Shawn Ray Brogdon and son Michael Seth Brogdon who was born on February 11, 1995. Unfortunately, tragedy struck and Chuck was taken to Heaven on September 29, 1995. Dora was never one to give up hope and always continued to see the good in people and have faith in the future of what could be. As luck would have it, thanks to a plumbing issue, she was soon to meet someone who would become a very special person in her life. Dora married Robin Carl Pence on June 9, 2001 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Amarillo, Texas. Dora worked for Potter-Randall Appraisal District for 36 years as an Appraisal Assistant before retiring in July 2022 to focus on spending more time with family. Dora loved spending time with her family, cooking, baking, was especially known and received many requests for her 'armadillo eggs,' gardening, going to church, and taking care of others because she loved people and never knew a stranger-- she always said they were just, "friends we hadn't met," yet. Dora was preceded in death by her husband Robin Carl Pence, Charles "Chuck" Brogdon, father Federico Constancio Jr, brothers Cosme and Lucas Constancio. Dora is survived by her sons, Michael Seth Brogdon and Shawn Ray Brogdon, mother Rebecca Bermea Constancio of Friona, Texas; brothers Ezequiel Constancio and wife Angie of Herford, Texas, Joel Constancio and wife Chila of Hereford, Texas; sisters Linda Chavez and husband Raymon of Hereford, Texas, Nina Bozell and husband Michael of Austin, Texas.
