Doreen M. Weemhoff

Doreen M. Weemhoff 85, of Amarillo died Thursday March 5, 2009 in Amarillo. Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday in Memory Gardens Cemetery with Dale Moreland, associate pastor of the Church at Quail Creek officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel 2800 S. Osage St. Mrs. Weemhoff was born in Grand Rapids, MI. She moved to Amarillo in 1957 from Grand Rapids. Mrs. Weemhoff was a homemaker and a member of Tenth Street United Methodist Church. Her husband preceded her in death in 1994 She married Herman Weemhoff in 1943 in Grand Rapids. She loved spending time with her family. She also loved knitting, crocheting and working crossword puzzles. The family would like to acknowledge the doctors and staff of BSA Hospice for the loving care they provided to their mother. Survivors include 3 daughters, Beverly Palmer and her husband David of San Antonio, Sally Walker and her husband Ronny and Debra Brigman and her husband John all of Amarillo; 9 grandchildren, Alicia Williams, David Palmer, Jr., Joshua Palmer, Bailey Palmer, Jacob Palmer, Melissa Smalley, Kerri Walker, Jeremiah Brigman and Justin Brigman; 9 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Dena Chapel and 1 brother Orland Lords. The family requests memorial donations to Olivia's Angels in care of BSA Hospice.
