Doris Miller

Doris Miller 62 of Amarillo died Wednesday January 24, 2007 at Amarillo. Memorial services will be at 2:00 PM Monday at Rector Funeral Home Coulter Chapel with Mark Urquhart, chaplain of Hospice Care of the Southwest officiating. Cremation was by Rector Funeral Home Coulter Chapel 8310 S. Coulter Amarillo, Texas. Mrs. Miller was born in Amarillo. She received a BA in education and a Masters in Arts from West Texas State University. She taught school with the Amarillo ISD for 10 years. She married Oren Miller in 1978 at Goodland, KS. She was preceded in death by her mother, Gwendolyn Beth (Hyde) Gilmore, her father, Richard Hamp Fox and a brother, Jimmy Richard Fox. Survivors include: her husband of the home, 2 daughters; Tamara Kaye Bolyard and her husband Doug of Wilson, Tonya Doby and her husband Chuck of Abilene, 1 step-son; Geoffrey Miller and his wife Sarah of Muskogee, OK, 4 grandchildren; Crystal, Casey, Zachary and Brandon, and 1 great-grandson; Nathaniel Ty. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donation be to Hospice Care of the Southwest 1500 S. Coulter Ste. 3 Amarillo, Texas 79106
